Innovation remains a decisive element in ensuring the long term success of the company and meeting market expectations.

The Sauermann Group’s approach consists in distinguishing itself through original concepts and systems, new functionalities and designs or marketing approaches that set us apart.

Devising and conceiving new high performance, ergonomic and “designed” systems, which require a structured marketing strategy and a Research and Development policy, to which the necessary resources have been allocated.


Our innovation process

Our Research & Development works on several strategic projects that have a significant impact on all of the Group’s activities.

These projects are followed up and coordinated in a decentralised manner:

  • A design office and teams in both sites in order to be closer to production.
  • A closeness that allows us to be more reactive, refine processes and optimise production development lead times.
  • Cross-functional, collaborative tools (CAD project platforms, intranet information system, database, FTP server, etc.) promote communication within the Group.

Such cross-functional collaborative tools enable the state of progress of a project and the life cycle of the product to be continuously monitored.

The Sauermann Group’s Research & Development also relies on the expertise of external partners. A voluntary approach which, via external sources of creativity and expertise, develops, through the exchange of ideas and know how, the scientific input necessary for innovation and technical progress.



This continuous focus on innovation encourages the Sauermann Group to protect itself by filing Enveloppes Soleau (French disclosure document system) and patents with the INPI and EPO.

Eco-design

The Sauermann Group’s commitment to the environment is closely linked to innovation.

This means it acts in an eco-friendly manner by already designing products based on eco-friendly design principles, which minimise the environmental impact at each stage of their life cycle.
