RoHS
European directive, applicable since the 1st July 2006, limiting the use of hazardous substances such as: lead (Pb), hexavalent chromium (Cr+6), polybromobiphenyl (PBB), polybromodiphenyl ether (PBDE), cadmium (Cd) and mercury (Hg).
WEEE
European directive relative to the treatment of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. Sauermann products fall within the scope of this directive. In accordance with this directive, Sauermann informs the user of the measures to take when disposing of condensate removal pumps at the end of their life cycle.
All Sauermann products bear the pictogram
signifying that the products must not be included in household waste when they reach the end of their life cycle but instead collected in order to be recycled.
Through this approach, the Sauermann Group invites its distributors and users to adopt eco-responsible behaviour that recommends the sustainable reuse of natural resources.
A recyclable product is good, but a recycled product is even better!
Within the context of applying the WEEE, collection and treatment are the responsibility of manufacturers and distributors. The Sauermann Group has opted to subscribe to Eco-systems in France, DHL in the United Kingdom, Stifung Elektro Altgerate Register in Germany, and Re-Media in Italy for the management, the collection and the treatment of its electrical and electronic waste.
